About OhioView

Through its consortial university members and affiliate partners, OhioView offers a broad range of research expertise in the fields of agriculture, geology, geography, civil engineering, computer science, library science, environmental science, and urban studies. The unique partnership among its diverse member universities is leveraged as OhioView’s strength.

Satellites have the advantage of being able to monitor continuously the earth’s surface, asking possible the study of changes due to natural or man-made forces. Research areas include Hydrology, Land Use, Acquisition, processing and Management, and Education.

AmericaView

OhioView is a member state of AmericaView (AV), a nationwide program that focuses on satellite remote sensing data and technologies in support of applied research, K-16 education, workforce development, and technology transfer.

The AmericaView Consortium is comprised of university-led, state-based consortia working together to build a nationwide network of state and local users. AmericaView works to further expand communications networks, facilities, and capabilities for acquiring and sharing remotely sensed data among AmericaView members. The Consortium is actively working with the USGS and universities across the country to expand participation in the AV Program to all 50 states. Visit the AmericaView website for more information.
